Is there any way to get a UIWebView to recognize a user from Safari?

Hello all,

I have a webview that sets cookies when my app is opened. I can put things in my cart on shopping websites & log into social media websites, close the app, and have everything still there when I open it. When I go to safari nothing is saved or set. Is there anyway to set my webview in a way that it basically connects to the Internet as the user on Safari? I'm not sure how to ask this question clearly - but I basically want my webview and Safari to be consistent in identifying the iPhone or user.
