Siri should read out incoming text messages while driving.

This was my favorite feature from my Moto X 2013 before I switched to iPhones. If it detected I was driving when I received a new text, it would ask me if I wanted the text read to me. If I did, it would read the text and ask if I wanted to respond. If I did, I'd dictate my response, then the Moto X would read it back to me and ask for a confirmation before sending it.

My iPhone doesn't do that. Why not? Siri should be able to read me an incoming text and ask if I want to respond. How is it that Apple puts so much of a focus on Siri and CarPlay and etc etc but four years later, I still can't replicate a feature that was standard on my old Android phone?

The Moto X also introduced features like always-on listening and a screen that would light up when you had notifications or jostled it, both features that Apple has adapted. Why not adapt another?

Man, the Moto X was so ahead of its time.
