A New Frontier's save system really needs some work.

After reading on here that making a certain decision early on in the game yielded some interesting results I decided I'd go back and try it to see what happened. I already knew about the fact that the replay feature had been removed which was annoying enough, but hey I was prepared to bite the bullet.

So, I click restart and it informs me that in order to go back and replay I also need to delete my progress in the game so far. Again, annoying but ultimately not game ending as I was going to have to replay the following episodes anyway.

Now, what really gripes me is that after all of this, when I restarted the episode the choices I had made leading up to it were erased and randomly generated - and now applied to my cloud save too. This means that now if I want to get the game world I want, I'm going to have to do a full replay of the entire series so far from episode 1.

How is this an improvement over the old system? I wish that there was a way I could create a "Story so far" file now. It's not even as though you can mindlessly skip through dialogue you've seen before.
