#Eat 2.0, (Chicken Penne Primavera, Honey Balsamic Chicken, Lemon Herb Chicken)

#Chicken Penne Primavera

  • Calories: 250
  • Fat: 9g
  • Carbs: 24g (Fiber 5g, Sugars 5g)
  • Protein: 18g

Short Ingredient List: ENRICHED MULTIGRAIN PENNE, WATER, COOKED SEASONED NATURAL* CHICKEN BREAST STRIPS WITH RIB MEAT, HALF AND HALF, BROCCOLI, CARROTS, YELLOW SQUASH, RED BELL PEPPERS, PARMESAN CHEESE, LESS THAN 2% (MODIFIED FOOD STARCH, ASIAGO CHEESE, PARMESAN CHEESE FLAVOR, GARLIC, SEA SALT, ORGANIC VEGETABLE BASE, CANOLA OIL, XANTHAN GUM, SPICES)

Review: This was one of my favorites. The noodles were great, the veggies were great, it felt like it had a good amount of chicken and the sauce was delicious. When I need an Italian White Sauce fix again, this will be my go-to. I paired it with a homemade garlic bread using low-cal hotdog bun and Land O Lakes garlic spread. I felt like I was cheating. This is on my buy again list!

#Honey Balsamic Chicken

  • Calories: 300
  • Fat: 5g
  • Carbs: 51g (Fiber 8g, Sugars 13g)
  • Protein: 14g

Short Ingredient List: COOKED BARLEY, COOKED SEASONED NATURAL* CHICKEN BREAST STRIPS WITH RIB MEAT, WATER, ROASTED SWEET POTATOES, CRIMINI MUSHROOMS, ROASTED ZUCCHINI, BALSAMIC VINEGAR, HONEY, LESS THAN 2% (CANOLA OIL, MODIFIED FOOD STARCH, SEA SALT, GRANULATED ONION, SPICES, GRANULATED GARLIC, XANTHAN GUM, WHEAT GLUTEN)

Review: This was the only one I didn't finish. I hated the texture of the cooked barley and the only thing with any flavor in this dish were the sweet potatoes. On top of that, this one has some of the highest calorie and carbohydrate counts out of all their options. It wasn't worth it and I will not buy it again.

#Lemon Herb Chicken

  • Calories: 270
  • Fat: 10g
  • Carbs: 32g (Fiber 2g, Sugars 3g)
  • Protein: 13g

Short Ingredient List: COOKED BROWN RICE, WATER, COOKED SEASONED NATURAL* CHICKEN BREAST STRIPS WITH RIB MEAT, RED BELL PEPPERS, KALE, HALF AND HALF, LEMON JUICE, LESS THAN 2% (OLIVE OIL, ORGANIC VEGETABLE BASE, SPICES, MODIFIED FOOD STARCH, PARMESAN CHEESE, CANOLA OIL, SEA SALT, ROASTED GARLIC, WHEAT GLUTEN, XANTHAN GUM.

Review: This one was a shocker to me. I saved it as one of the last because I thought for sure I was going to hate it. The sauce was excellent, I had feared the lemon would overpower everything but it all mixed really well. Overall, this dinner was very tasty. I will definitely buy it again.

#Eat! BIMBAP Frozen Entrees (Chicken and Potato Curry, Korean Inspired Chicken, Orange Chicken)

#Chicken and Potato Curry

  • Calories: 250
  • Fat: 8g
  • Carbs: 30g (Fiber 3g, Sugars 8g)
  • Protein: 14g

Short Ingredient List: ROASTED RED POTATOES, WATER, COOKED SEASONED NATURAL* CHICKEN BREAST STRIPS WITH RIB MEAT, TOMATOES, HALF AND HALF, CARROTS, PEAS, LESS THAN 2% (ORGANIC COCONUT MILK, MODIFIED FOOD STARCH, CHICKEN FAT, SUGAR, SOUR CREAM, CHICKEN BROTH, SEA SALT, ORGANIC CURRY POWDER, DEHYDRATED GARLIC, MUSTARD, GINGER PUREE

Review: I've only had curry a couple of times so I really can't compare to those and I'm not a huge curry person. With that said, this frozen dinner was enjoyable. It was savory and only slightly spicy. I enjoyed the potatoes and the peas. It certainly wasn't the most spicy frozen entree on their menu. I have already purchased again. This is nice and filling, especially on a cool day. If you don't enjoy peas, don't get this dish. The peas were the only thing that would overpower the rest of the dish. I could tell when I had a spoonful with a pea in it. (I just happen to really enjoy peas)

#Korean Inspired Chicken

  • Calories: 300
  • Fat: 7g
  • Carbs: 46g (Fiber 3g, Sugars 12g)
  • Protein: 15g

Short Ingredient List: COOKED BROWN RICE, WATER, COOKED SEASONED NATURAL* CHICKEN BREAST STRIPS WITH RIB MEAT, CORN, EDAMAME, CARROTS, SOY SAUCE, RED BELL PEPPERS, BROWN SUGAR, LESS THAN 2% (GINGER PUREE, MOLASSES, TOMATO PASTE, MODIFIED FOOD STARCH, TOASTED SESAME OIL, RICE WINE, CANOLA OIL, GARLIC, SPICES, XANTHAN GUM.

Review: This was, hands down, my favorite. It was the spiciest on the list but not too spicy. I'm not a fan of spicy foods. This had just a great amount of spice and the vegetables in it were amazing. I think it's very hard to find a soy sauce based frozen dinner that I actually enjoy. No single ingredient overpowered the dish in this dinner.

#Orange Chicken

  • Calories: 270
  • Fat: 4.5g
  • Carbs: 44g (Fiber 3g, Sugars 13g)
  • Protein: 14g

Short Ingredient List: COOKED BROWN RICE, WATER, COOKED SEASONED NATURAL* CHICKEN BREAST STRIPS WITH RIB MEAT, BROCCOLI, CARROTS, YELLOW SQUASH, RED BELL PEPPERS, SOY SAUCE, BROWN SUGAR, LESS THAN 2% (ORANGE JUICE CONCENTRATE, MOLASSES, RICE WINE, TOMATO PASTE, CHICKEN BROTH, MODIFIED FOOD STARCH, CANOLA OIL, GINGER PUREE, GARLIC, SEA SALT, ORANGE OIL, XANTHAN GUM.

Review: I saved this one for last when I was trying them because I get really leery when it comes to Asain dishes that are sweeter. Sometimes the sauce just overpowers everything. I love Orange Chicken when I go out to Chinese restaurants, but they tend to give you a lot of chicken which helps dilute the sauce. Overall, this was very good. The sauce wasn't overpowering. I still would've enjoyed a little more chicken and in the future, I might start making some plain chicken breast to bring a small half-cup to mix in with some of these. I would buy this one again.

#Eat! LAVIDA Frozen Entrees (Mexican Style Mac & Cheese w/ Uncured Bacon, Tomatillo Chicken)

#Mexican Style Mac & Cheese w/ Uncured Bacon

  • Calories: 400
  • Fat: 19g
  • Carbs: 38g (Fiber 4g, Sugars 4g)
  • Protein: 20g

Short Ingredient List: WHOLE GRAIN PASTA, WATER, POBLANO PEPPERS, RED BELL PEPPERS, HALF AND HALF, NATURAL** UNCURED BACON*, CHEDDAR CLUB CHEESE, CHEDDAR CHEESE, LESS THAN 2% (ROMANO CHEESE, BACON FAT, MODIFIED FOOD STARCH, VINEGAR, CANOLA OIL, BLUE CHEESE POWDER, XANTHAN GUM, SPICE, MUSTARD FLOUR.

Review: Mac & Cheese, Bacon, what could go wrong? Everything when you forget to add flavor. This was hands down, the most calorie heavy of all the Eat dinners and there was no flavor. It was eating slimy noodles w/ a slightly spicy flavor. I unfortunately have one more of these in my freezer that I really don't want to eat, however, I might try to find someway to make it taste better. I might add some spice such as Ms. Dash and seeing if it can, somehow, improve this one. If it cannot, I will not buy this again.

#Tomatillo Chicken

  • Calories: 240
  • Fat: 4.5g
  • Carbs: 37g (Fiber 4g, Sugars 4g)
  • Protein: 14g

Short Ingredient List: COOKED BROWN RICE, COOKED SEASONED NATURAL* CHICKEN BREAST STRIPS WITH RIB MEAT, CRUSHED TOMATILLOS, RED AND GREEN BELL PEPPERS, WATER, CORN, BLACK BEANS, ONIONS, HALF AND HALF, LESS THAN 2% (CILANTRO, JALAPEÑO PEPPERS, MODIFIED FOOD STARCH, SEA SALT, CANOLA OIL, SUGAR, LIME JUICE CONCENTRATE, WHEAT GLUTEN.

Review: When I made this, I was asked why I was making food so late (7:45pm and I stop eating at 8:00pm) and I told them, I was hungry for something and I was going to hate this and chuck it anyway. Boy, am I glad I was wrong. This actually had an excellent flavor to it. It was also very filling which I guess was most likely the black beans. It had a little kick to it, but I wouldn't call it spicy. Nothing in this dish overpowered anything else which is great. This is for sure on my buy list again.
