Should i take my lovebird out in the morning before i go to school?
Okay, so i got a lovebird, Indie, about 2 months ago. Im in college right now. This semester, my classes have been in the morning, all done around 12 but i have to leave the house around 7:30 or 8. Now, as soon as i get home, i always take him out and he is out the rest of the day until he puts himself to bed or i have to leave the house later.
When i get up in the morning and uncover Indie, he's happy to see me and wants out but i don't have much time in the mornings to have him out before i leave, usually about 15 minutes. On the days that i work, i try to spend some time with him before i leave since i don't come home before work and my parents also work all day (they take him out when they get home, if he wants out, they say a lot of times he doesn't). Ill just take him out and let him be on my shoulder while I'm making breakfast and eating because he doesn't usually get out of his cage on those days :(
But anyway, so this morning, i let him out cause i barely got to see him yesterday (not a day i worked, but a very busy day for me)
Im just wondering if this is a good idea or if i should not get him in the habit of coming out of his cage in the mornings before i leave? Im not sure if this will cause any problems long term or not. I don't want him to start thinking he will get to come out every morning because i definitely don't have time for that. I feel like some mornings might be okay here and there but id like to hear your opinions! It feels almost cruel to me for him to be in his cage wanting to be with me while I'm sitting there eating breakfast (I'm pretty close to his cage, so he sees me)
Anyway, what are your opinions on this? Thanks in advance for your comments! :)
