[Mac][late 80's] Game where you would spawn people and dispatch various devices to kill them

Despair

Platform(s): Old Mac. Used black and white 512x384 screen

Genre: You just spawn people and kill them. Definitely 2D.

Estimated year of release: 1988ish

Graphics/art style: Black and white, old Mac style

Notable characters: The only specific killing machine I remember looked like a circular saw blade and tore people up as it travelled through the world. The people were about 1/2" tall, you could have a lot of them on the screen at a time.

Notable gameplay mechanics: The world had a few horizontal platforms that people would wander around on, the world looked kinda similar to Joust. People would fall through holes in the platforms.

On one of the sides there was a control panel where you could spawn more people or dispatch killing machines. You'd get a number of people killed at the end, I can't remember what caused the game to end.

I think the killing machines would fall off the sides of the screen on the bottom level.
