Better Know Your Enemy: Atlanta Braves, April 26-27

Welcome back to another installment of Better Know Your Enemy, the Thank-God-For-The-Rainout-Because-I-Forgot-To-Post-In-The-Rivals-Sub-On-Time Edition!

I ventured over to r/Braves for the first time this season to get the scoop on the new home of our favorite pitcher, Bartolo Colon.

THE ENEMY: Atlanta Braves

RECORD: 6-12

STREAK: L6

2017 HEAD TO HEAD: 2-1 Mets

HOW'D THEY GET HERE: The Braves come in to town at the bottom of the NL East, following consecutive sweepings at the hands of the Nationals and Phillies. A three game series vs the Mets has been cut down to two following Tuesday's rain postponement.

PROJECTED MATCHUPS:

Wednesday, April 26, 7:10 PM: Noah Syndergaard (1-1, 1.73 ERA) vs Julio Teheran (1-1, 3.52 ERA)

Thursday, April 27, 1:10 PM: Matt Harvey (2-0, 2.84 ERA) vs R.A. Dickey (1-2, 3.86 ERA)

THE INSIGHT:

"We were swept in our last two series, so that sucks."-/u/irck

"[The season so far has been] Bad-Worse-Great-Bad-Ugly"-/u/S_A_Meers
 WHO'S HOT:

"Freddie Freeman, Tyler Flowers, Brandon Phillips, Matt Kemp"-/u/irck

"Freddie Freeman"-/u/S_A_Meers

WHO'S NOT:

"Dansby Swanson has been getting a lot of shit. He has under performed with the bat."-/u/S_A_Meers

"Dansby Swanson, Adonis Garcia"-/u/irck

MATCHUP OF CONFIDENCE:

"I feel best about Teheran vs Gsellman."-/u/irck

MATCHUP OF FEAR:

"...The Dickey start is much more scary."-/u/irck

CLOSING THOUGHTS: "Here's a quick summary. There have been flashes of success in the future. I haven't been able to watch as many Braves game since I'm out of market but there seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel. But we're still a 90 loss team."-/u/kamiller2020
