Question: Can I use cable adapters to effectively double a (mono) signal from a balanced output of "NativeInstrument Komplete Audio 6" Interface
I'm working on a setup with a store-fresh Windows10 laptop. I have access to admin so I could install additional software, but I was disappointed to learn that apparently Audacity (my go-to freeware) doesn't support multichannel playback, so my 4-output-channel audio interface isn't serving much purpose. Ultimately I need to feed 4 physical inputs.
Can I somehow double a signal with adapters? I've only worked with Y-adapters such as this which are stereo at the source. Would using it on a balanced output of the said audio interface work? If yes, would I have to take signal strength loss into account?
I've had a really bad day without proper internet access, with a flash drive dying on me, and interface drivers not installing on my mac for no evident reason. Your help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
