Max coffee in Kalita 155

Hey guys,

Looking to pick up some new gear. I'm debating between picking up the kalita 155 and kalita 185, and hope you guys can help me choose.

I read a bunch of different threads, but I'm still unsure how to proceed. I typically brew 23-25 grams of coffee for one ~12oz cup. Everything I've read seems to suggest the sweet spots for the 155 and 185 are ~18grams and ~40grams, respectively.

It would be nice to have the ability to brew larger batches with the 185 but not necessary if 155 produces a better. I have a 6 cup chemex for those occasions.

My question is this: since I typically brew outside of those weights, should I even bother picking one of these up?
