Bringing newborns to weddings?

DISCUSSION

I was just wondering if anyone here had any opinions on bringing a newborn baby to a wedding. I commented on a post on a Facebook group for childfree people saying the mother of a baby should have gotten a babysitter and enjoyed her evening out. (It was a screenshot of a woman saying "My baby was 11 days old when -couple- got married. It was a one year anniversary post) She said she was blessed to have celebrated the day with her baby son at the wedding.

Someone responded to my comment saying "At 11 days old?", in response to me saying to get a babysitter. I do not think weddings are a good place for a newborn. There's so many people there and people carry germs that could be dangerous to such a young baby. Plus if the baby cries during the ceremony, it's disruptive and a mother like that sure isn't going to take the baby out.
