Bluetooth power saving changing between battery and plugged-in

I have a new Logitech MX Master and a new HP Spectre 360 with factory settings. I am having an issue with the mouse going into a sleep/hibernate mode when the laptop is running on battery. It goes to sleep/disconnects after about 5 seconds of inactivity, accompanied by a long pause before it wakes back up when I want to use it (the lights on the side of the mouse light back up indicating that the connection is re-established). This is driving me insane. The logitech forums have no useful information for PCs. I don't think it's a mouse issue regardless.

This does not happen when the PC is plugged in, which makes me suspect it is a hidden setting through the power options.

What I have tried:

  1. Disabled the option "allow Windows to disable this device to save power" on the device manager for both the Bluetooth receiver and the HID Bluetooth Low Energy GATT compliance device.

  2. Searched through the Window Power Plan Options for the "HP recommended settings" as well as the "Power Save Mode" but I haven't found anything that pertains to the bluetooth specifically

  3. I have forced updates for all the Bluetooth drivers, the Logitech Options software, the Mouse drivers, and the wireless 802.11 a/b/g drivers

I'm sure there is something I am blatantly missing, so thanks in advance for your help.
