[Pre-event] The Sound of Royal Trumpets

A melodic blast resonates from outside and a fully armed guard steps in through the door in full plate and helmet on. On his back rests a large halberd. He salutes the members inside and lifts his voice. "His majesty, King Cromwell!"
He steps to the side and a regally dressed man steps through. He has long brown hair, a clean shaven face and wears a golden breastplate that looks heavily damaged. He gives the pub a small bow and rises.
"It is an honor to finally meet you all. I know you probably don't care for me, but I've come here to give you all my thanks in the aid of the city. In light of recent events, I've decided to use my personal funds to throw a banquet and a ball within the castle. The entire city is invited but i wanted to extend yours personally. With relief and rebuilding under way, I thought some music and merriment may help lift everyone's spirits."
He smiles and opens his arms in a humble welcome, apology, and thanks.
