Unsure of what "starter edition" means

Hey all,

I started looking into playing again and went to my battlenet just to look around. In my account summary, my account status is "starter edition"

Last time I played was when Burning Crusade was out. I tried looking back at old posts here saying that starter edition means you'll have everything except the newest one, Legion. Does this apply to me even though I never went and bought/applied WotLK, Panderia, or WoD?

Thanks!

edit: appreciate all the answers!
