[Reboot] Should I pick up mesos manually?

Since there are no permanent pets in the Reboot Cash Shop, I'm trying to figure out how I can make substantive mesos from mobbing. I'm very frugal when it comes to NX, so I don't like paying for impermanent stuff. Would it disrupt my mobbing to stop and mash the pick-up key every time something dies? If so, should I give in and buy a pet every month, or should I limit my meso intake to what I get from bossing?
