TIFU by giving a note with dark humor to a girl for her birthday.

I'm a freshman in high school, and I sit next to a girl in my computer class that I had a slight crush on since the beginning of school. I thought she was really nice and kind, the perfect mate, and she thought I was weird as hell.

April 21st was her birthday, and we had spring break previously, and I had promised to get her something, but I didn't. I remembered back to someone telling me that laughter is the best humor. So I decided to make a card out of paper and write in an edgy joke because I'm a retard apparently.

I wrote in the card:

Roses are red Violets are blue If I shot up the school I wouldn't shoot you

At the time, I thought this was the funniest thing in the world. It touched on a somewhat sensitive subject and she would understand that it was a joke and wouldn't make any light of it. She laughed and nudged me, so I thought, "mission accomplished." What I did not consider was her friends didn't find a particular interest in me, and always saw me as weird. They decided that they had to report it to the administrators. Security came to my classroom and escorted me to my administrators office. After that, a police officer came in and began to question me. He asked me about the note, and me trying to find a way out of it denied it. He then patted me down (because I guess my county has the authority to do so in situations like that) and then began to search my backpack. He then opened up my laptop and looked around for anything related to guns (I'm not sure if he's allowed to do that) and the only thing that he could find remotely related to the situation was a CS:GO icon.

After I was informed of this, I was requested for a statement/my side of the story. I wrote that I meant it purely as a joke, and didn't actually want to be the lead actor in Columbine: The Sequel. After that, they checked my locker (which I never use) as part of protocol. Once they found out that I wasn't prepared at that very moment to cause mass destruction and fatalities, I was to be kept in the administration office until my parents came to pick me up or until the girl I gave the note to had delivered a statement. Since she wasn't at school (she was on a field trip), my admin thought it would be best to hit up my parents. And so, my parents were contacted, and I expected them to give me hell. And they did.

My mother arrived and she called me a disgrace to the family. What else is new? She also told me that I was stupid for doing things like this, and she was tired of dealing with my shit every single day (I have been suspended twice this year, one time being my fault, the other not). I have yet to hear my dad speak on it, but he'll most likely say something similar.

I'm at my mother's house at the moment (my parents are divorced) and I'm just waiting for my dad to pick me up, as I'm with him until May 1st because the bloody court said so. I have not been giving any homework and I have not been told of the consequences. For all I know, they could be filing a request for expulsion as I type this. I guess the moral of this story is to not do dark humor unless you are in a situation where people won't hop all over your ass.

TL;DR: Wrote a birthday card to my crush with a school shooting poem, her friends reported me, suspension or explusion from school will be my consequence.

Edit: I got suspended for 10 days. I hate this place.

Edit 2: Since I have ADHD, they're gonna have a manifestation meeting to see if my ADHD caused my actions. If it did cause it, I get placed in special ed. If not, it looks like expulsion.
