Time moving too slowly -- no literally

I'm having a weird bug where if my cookie clicker tab isnt the active tab, the in game time moves about 1/3 the rate it should.

I can tell because I get 1/3 the golden cookies, and I also use the 1 hour elder pledge upgrade, which, rather than taking 1 hour to expire, actually takes 3-4 hours to expire.

I've disabled my clicker plugins, etc, but its still happening....as you can imagine, this is a big downer for my cookie output.

anyone else have this problem? or know what I should try to fix it?
