Is There a Nonfiction Book That Attempts to Neutrally Discuss the Evidence and Role of Gender Inequality Present Today?

I have recently had several discussions with men - my boyfriend and some male friends - about the existence of sexism in today's culture (U.S.). They are all incredibly nice, thoughtful people who are in no way misogynistic- they think gender equality is important. However, our views differ in that they think gender equality has been achieved. I find myself leaving these conversations frustrated with myself - my debating points rely solely on my own personal experience. So, I'm looking for a book to read regarding gender inequality in the U.S. - an unbiased description of how gender inequality has changed over the years, and in what forms it exists today: a detailed look into both male and female discrimination. Any ideas? All I can find is female- and male- biased blog posts on the matter.
