I can't figure out my fortune's skill.

"Conquer your fears, or they will conquer you."

I have definitely tried every single skill and still have yet to get the one my fortune is for. Hours of doing all sorts of everything in game, and going one by one through each and skilling for a minute to try each one.

Does it not work right away when skilling the correct skill? How long do I need to skill for?

Are there only certain activities that will count toward unlocking each skill? Like for strange rocks? Or is it anything/everything short of lamps? Do dummies and proteans work?

Is there a way to get rid of this fortune for a new one?
