Problems understanding new factions and ethics mechanic
Hello. I have started an empire with governing ethics: Xenofile and Fanatic Spiritualist. Also Started with Syncretic Evolution Civic, thus have 2 "main" pops. Shortly after starting I have decided to up their living standards for more happiness.
Q1: is that a good idea? The cost didn't seem too high, I expect the return on investment to be good. Am I mistaking?
When I did that, I noticed my Ethics attraction for Egalitarian has been increased, thus decreasing a bit the attraction for my governing ethics.
Q2: is this bad? Should I try to concentrate my attraction on as few ethics as possible? I expect "yes". In that case... should I decrease the living standards to where Egalitarian does not have attraction anymore thus losing on the happiness bonus? I can't decide what's better.
Also, a faction formed, based on Xenophile ethic.
Q3: I don't see a way to increase it's happiness. Seems to be maxed at 55%. Looking at the "issues" I don't see any way to increase their happiness.
Q4: The factions shows "attraction:8". So 8 pops that can potentially join the factions. But that can't be, 8 is the total pops I have that are not part of the faction. For all 8 to join the faction, my attraction for Xenophile has to be 100%, which it isn't! Does this "faction attraction" factor just count all pops not part of the faction? I was expecting for it to count pops that are actually attracted to Xenophile ethic. But they are not all attracted to Xenophile ethic. EXPLAIN! :)
And lastly.
Q5: When I started, my 100% attraction was split between by 2 governing ethics: Xenophile and Spiritualist. Cool, as expected. But why was one at 66% and the other at 33%? Even more curious, Spiritualist had 33% while my governing ethics are Xenophile and FANATIC SPIRITUALIST. WTF is going on? Why did they not have equal attraction or more attraction on the Spiritualist side since it's fanatic? I don't get it.
