Has last.fm ever recognized/responded to the many pleas for the original profile, groups, and overall social aspect of the site that disappeared?

I just went on my last.fm profile for the first time in a loooong time and got sad about how empty the website feels. I can't even keep a list of my scrobble milestones on my profile anymore because there's a character limit. Is the website ever going to go back to allowing more customizable profiles, more active groups, etc?
