Lore: Motives of Oceiros and Lothric

Now we all know that the timeline is "strange" in Dark Souls series, time is an option rather than a absolute for the world of dark souls. When we enter the untended graves behind an illusionary wall we see that the world is dark, this is the world that Ludleth eventually becomes the Lord of Cinder. Here Gundyr is late probably because he fought against a Master Swordsman who did not care for linking of the fire a Swordsman who simply wanted to fight the best. Now he is late to the party Age of Dark begins. The gods are scared of the dark so they choose a exile who can transpose the souls powerful beings into weapons and ask him to be a lord of cinder, this must have been a shock and rather important event for Ludleth as an exile to find people relying on him, people calling him a Hero he must have felt great pride. Also since he is an exile he probably cannot return to his home like the other lords could.

(This also explains why the Gods punished Gundyr as they did forcing him to be a Judge, if you cannot even beat Gundyr what hope do you have of linking the fire.)

Now the King sees the Age of Dark, his pride as a Monarch makes him believe that immortality is his right so he decides to use his "Royal Blood" to gain more power, which is when he then learns about Seath, he realizes that immortality can only be achieved as a Dragon so he learns the Path of the Dragon, this could have led him to meet Nameless King(speculation). So when do we meet Oceiros we see a lot of pus of man surrounding his Boss Room, we see Knights of the Deep guarding his Door which is strange after all the Cathedral of the Deep should hate the Royal Bloodline for attempting to link the fire which leads to a strange problem that we are faced with, since when did the Lothric Bloodline realize the futility of the linking of the fire, the Prince is raised to be a Lord of Cinder but the King is preparing to become a Dragon he even raises a son who is born of dragons. Prince Lothric is defended by Lothric Knights, who are Dragon Slayers so Oceiros felt threatened by them and probably sought the help of the Cathedral of the Deep where Aldrich is initially said to be. Now they could be guarding him from the dark after all the Cathedral Knights have high dark resistance. So we meet Oceiros in a rather torn down room where there is rubble everywhere it seems he has been abandoned for a very long time, there are no Knights killing the Pus of Man surrounding their Kings Chamber. Which leads to an interesting point of Lothric Kingdom's power structure, no matter how mad a king is he has people who follow him we see that in Vendrick (even when he was a hollow he had his guard), but here we see a King all alone in his Castle there are no guards of his own these are the Church's guards not his, and then there is a curious Dialogue where in he says when you enter the boss room

Ahh, you ignorant slaves. Finally taken notice have you? Of the power of my beloved Ocelotte, child of dragons.

Well, I will not give him up. For he is all that I have.

So he assumes we have come to take his Child away from him but for what purpose, well I believe it is for linking of the fire, what proof do we have forceful linking there is Aldrich for one he was not chosen for virtue but for might according to Hawkwood. So that explains why the Church guards the King. So the motives become clear, the King does not want an Age of Fire to continue he has already prepared himself for the Age of Dark he also does not want his youngest Son to grow under the care of the High Priestess who aims to fulfill the Queen's Desire.

So why did the Queen leave him, was it because he was a Dragon, probably not I believe she left him because he would not let her use his youngest son to link the flame which is where you come in. There is a reason Prince Lothric is called last line of hope it is not because they have high hopes for him it is because there are no other options, we do not see the Prince wearing shiny armor to face the dangers of linking the fire, he is given robes and a sword that he cannot use. He was a failure and they realized it, no one cared for him after a certain age when it became clear that he could not be the Champion they desired, so they went in search for another who could warrior, then there is Prince Lorian who becomes cursed so he is bound to Prince Lothric, but how did this curse come about we know Lorian is a great warrior he single handedly beat the Demon Prince which is not an easy task. So did the people around them forced the merger of the souls of the Twin Princes, or was it a birth defect where in their souls were intertwined at the time of conception regardless Lothric would not have had a great time growing up, first you are pampered for being the hero of the age and then you are rejected, this is my theory anyway after all there is no way you would let a strange scholar pour blasphemous ideas into the person raised to link the fire. Emma would have kept a close eye on him. But I guess she was busy with something else, even if she might have cared for him. So you then go to the rejected prince requesting that he save the world when he not only has learnt the nature of the world and what would happen to him should the cycle ends, after all he would not die but be forced to burn himself again and again to satisfy the needs of the people. So the usurpation of fire might the only way to end the curse that afflicts the world where the Gods are dead.

The World is going Hollow

I am not sure if this lore has already been there but I thought since I have played the game for so long I might as well give my 2 cents.
