[EVENT] Prepare For Advance

EVENT

Landfall has been made by the fearsome fighters of the Condor Legion on the shores of our shameful Communist enemy. Their bodies litter the land and stain the rivers red--and yet still more blood must be spilled, more Communists must be put to the sword. Before the next push thought the Interim Council has called up a segment of the reserves to replace some of the Legionnaires lost in combat.

Department Regulars--2500 dead--5 units killed--no reinforcement possible

Motorized Regulars--625 dead--2 units killed--125 recoverable dead

Regular Artillery--1875 dead--3 units dead--375 recoverable dead

AA Guns--875 dead--1 unit killed--375 recoverable dead

Total: 875 recoverable dead--covered by the reinforcement figure

[Injured Units Repaired]

For the matter of the 680 captured Communists they are to be remanded to POW camps for "processing" and moved to secure locations to prevent them from attempting to stage a breakout and rejoin their, as of yet, free compatriots. Their equipment along with the pieces captured in the battle are to be destroyed--what use are they to the Condor Legion and their fellows?

Civilians of the newly occupied province are given orders via radio and loudspeakers to leave their homes and present themselves to Antioquian forces in order to be registered and moved into camps along the shore where they will remain until the conclusion of this conflict. Councilman Juan Alvarez, in command of Condor Legion forces at the front was reported as saying that he was loathe to leave a potential enemy at his back under any circumstances. Those who refused to comply with this order have been warned that they will be treated as enemy combatants should they be found when the Legion advances through the region.
