The tragic nature of stimulants
Life really seems fuller on stimulants. It's like they allow me to suck more experience out of every moment. My mind works better, like I make all these connections, random things I have learned suddenly crystallize, it's like I become a genius almost! Highly imaginative and creative. I'm more confident and I think more attractive! Girls seem more interested in me. Existence seems awe inspiring instead of mundane and human suffering feels like it has a purpose.
At the same time I know this is not life. It's artificial and can't be maintained. It feels tragic. It's like Cinderella at the ball. It all ends soon and then back to life slaving away for your wicked stepmother.
[I got a chance to enjoy a stimulant for the first time in a while recently and had this short reflection. I posted it to r/drugs but no one read it so I thought I'd share here. If the duplication is a problem, sorry and please delete.]
