My AP Economics Teacher Gave us a Problem that made no sense to us.

A little background, my teacher has a history of teaching the class incorrectly multiple times this year alone so our class has gotten in the habit of second guessing when he says something that doesn't make sense. Usually it's easy to check, but he recently gave us a problem that made no sense whatsoever to us, but I can't find an answer on google because it's such a strange question.

"If the aggregate supply in the United States increased, what would happen to the aggregate demand. Draw a graph supporting this answer."

The answer he gave was taking a regular aggregate supply and demand graph and shifted the demand curve to the left for no apparent reason and didn't shift aggregate supply even though the problem explicitly said aggregate supply decreases. Could anyone help me understand this?
