Is my friend just manipulating me?

Hey, guys. I need some help. My close friend recently broke up with her boyfriend and now needs a roommate for her apartment. Since we have few single friends, she has been trying hard to convince me to move in with her.

I (23, female, recent college grad) currently live with my dad and work part-time. If I moved, the rent would be one of my $340 paychecks. I am also currently looking for jobs outside of the area and trying to pay off my student loans. I would love to move out of my dad's house for the sense of freedom, but am pretty sure it would be too much of a financial burden.

Although I voiced this concern, my friend has been pressuring me hard, and keeps telling me I need to move out for my own good. This is something she said even before she needed a roommate. She keeps telling me that I need to move out despite my financial concerns to be an "adult." She also knows I have been pretty depressed living here and would like to leave eventually.
