[Windows 10] Unidentified Network/Can't Connect to Network

Hey folks,

Im sorry for asking this question as there are literally thousands of answers, however Im concerned that my lack of knowledge in this area and the vast number of solutions which only work in specific cases would result in me making mistakes.

Issue:

Turned PC on and ethernet connection was not recognised "Unidentified Network. No internet access." Weird, but maybe it was faulty cable. Try and access WI-FI. "Cant connect to this network". Sinking feeling.

Possible helpful information:

BT Provider - Wi-fi works on all other devices at home so its most likely a hardware/software issue with the PC.

Im sorry for the lack of information provided here right now. Obviously more will be required to solve the problem so if you need me to run scans/diagnostics and give you the data Im happy to so. Right now I just feel in over my head and not entirely sure what would/wouldn't be relevant.
