[Advice] Buyer's (Renter's Remorse): Did I get a good deal?
Moving from D.C. to NYC. Want to make sure I got a good deal.
$1900/mo. Studio in West Village. Tiny, about 300-350 square feet. Beautiful block. No oven, just a stove top and half fridge. Clean and updated.
It's a 15-20 minute walk to work, which was my main goal. Did this all without a broker, so I'm not losing money there.
Did I do okay? The housing market in NYC is WAY different than D.C. I'm a bit over my intended budget with this one, but I wanted a safe, clean apartment not too far from work (which apparently is asking a lot--saw some units way over my budget at $2000 on the UES with signs of roach infestations).
Thoughts? Ease my guilt? Be honest though, I need to know if I messed up.
