[Tech/vlog] I added a very dramatic tone to part of my most recent video, what do you folks think of it?
I put a lot more time into this video than I had initially anticipated, but I think it's paid off.
Strengths: I think I've just about found the right pace for keeping people mildly interested in my video. I don't think it's the most gripping thing ever but it's at least interesting enough that you'd only have to be mildly bored to watch it. I also didn't need to chop up the footage in the middle of takes to get rid of mistakes nearly as much, so I'm pretty pleased with that.
However I'm most proud of the end, sort of starting at around 9:53 in the video. I went very dramatic with it on a whim and it came out a lot better than I expected!
The musical interlude around halfway through was pretty fun to make too!
Weaknesses: As ever: audio. It's pobbile I'm simply a bit too deaf to do it properly and consistently but I think it's at least consistent, if a little quiet (it always seems quieter once youtube has processed it).
There are a couple of slow-ish moments in there but I quite like to change the pace a lot rather than stick to one specific rhythm - although I'm not 100% on that.
