Best resource for finding work?

Hi r/bartenders

I've been in the biz for about 9 years now, but a year ago I relocated and decided to try my hand in another industry. Long story short, I hated it, and I'm ready to go back to bartending. However, before my hiatus I was at the same bar for 5 years, so it's been a while since I've looked for a job as a bartender. I live in a very urban area, about 30 minutes from a major metropolitan area, so I have plenty of options, but I'm not sure where to start interviewing because I don't know the area that well. How do you scope out bartending gigs in your area? Craigslist is leaving me empty handed as most listings are in strip clubs or in a "bad part of town", both of which I would rather avoid. Any tips?
