New player looking to take advantage of the bundle - any Borderlands 2, Witcher or MTG play style parallels?

Hey everyone,

Saw the bundle offering today and decided to give the game a shot, but I'm trying to figure out which play style might be best to try first.

I haven't really played MOBAs at all. I was trying to think of what games I enjoy playing that have some flexibility in play style and I came up with The Witcher, Borderlands 2, and Magic the Gathering.

Borderlands 2 Loves me some Gunzerker and Mechromancer. I loved the chaos and all out damage parade that the Gunzerker offered; it was fun really getting into the thick of things and giving no fucks about your enemy. I loved how the Mechromancer could get Deathtrap out there and then use her crazy stack point abilities to dish out lots of damage from afar.

I didn't like the Siren or Commando. I tried the Assassin for a while, and while I saw the potential I died so much playing him that I figured my play style didn't line up with the character. I dabbled with Krieg a bit but never really got into the groove with him; he seemed interesting though.

The Witcher 3 Started playing a few months ago and love the game so far. I've been leaning more towards a signs build with combat as a secondary skill. The alchemy skills seem very powerful (and from what I've read from guides give you the most OP builds) but the maintenance of inventory and necessity of diverse supplies made me more disinterested towards this build out of the gate.

I've been doing a Griffin armor build, boosting Igni and Quen to try and do a hybrid of crowd control and face to face combat.

Magic, the Gathering I've played for 20 years now. I'd say I'm a Johnny first and a Spike second. I like coming up with ridiculous combos, but I also like to be competitive but I'm not afraid of glass cannon strategies.

My favorite deck in Modern was RUG Scapeshift when Dig Through Time was legal; I liked that the deck played a tight game mixing elements of control, ramp, and tempo, and would win on the spot if it could survive long enough.

I also like taking Grishoalbrand out for a spin from time to time, since people who aren't prepared for it or can't interact with it get to see some pretty degenerate things happen on my side of the table.

On the more ridiculous side of the spectrum, I piloted a deck for fun where the goal was not being able to do anything. It involved a combo of Mycosynth Lattice, Stony Silence and Ghostly Prison. I managed to get the combo online a few times, and the confusion from my opponents was pretty entertaining.

In Commander I love playing Animar since you can chain things in such a way that you really go off in a way that, if not disrupted, can take out everyone else at the table. It's a bit glass-cannon, but it's fun as hell.

Heroes of the Storm So, given that less-than-homogenous data set, I'm kind of curious what advice this sub would give me in terms of the different roles to try or even specific heroes worth dabbling with. From that info I'm hoping I'll be able to pick the 20 free hero pack that best matches my style.

Thanks in advance!
