Converts from Protestantism, what do you think about the Protestant faith now that you are Catholic?

As a convert myself, I am curious to hear about other's experiences and thoughts. Was your upbringing in the Protestant church helpful or a hindrance during your study of Catholicism? If you converted directly to Catholicism (no gap of unbelief or agnosticism), was it because of the truth you found in the Catholic faith, or more of a lack of something in Protestantism? How do you view Protestantism differently now than before? What are the good things about Protestantism?
