First Grand Canyon Trip

Hello Arizonians!

A friend and I are taking a trip to the Grand Canyon on Tuesday. We're only going to be spending two nights there, and then two nights elsewhere. My question is, what are the most important things for us to see/do while we're in Arizona? I know it's a broad question, but we'd love some guidance!
