Should my family do an art gallery for my Great-Grandfather's artwork?

Discussion

My Great-Grandfather passed away over 30 years ago and he's painted well over 100 paintings that I'm aware of, most of which are just collecting dust in an attic. At this time I believe the only art of his actually hanging are in a few homes (brother, mother, aunt) as well as the Legislature building in Nevada. I will probably pick out a few myself once I finish Grad school.

Anyway I'm curious if doing a galla for him would be something worth doing? There's just too many paintings and it just feels like they should be hanging somewhere rather than sitting in an attic. Below is a website that my Aunt created recently with prints of some of his art for those curious.

EDIT- I'm asking because I know nothing about art and just want some opinions or ideas.
