[Tech]Xbox One Randomly Crashing While Playing Certain Games

This only started happening recently and I'm not sure if it only affects certain games (so far the crashing only seems to occur when I play the digital version of Mortal Kombat X even though I've played it extensively without any problems until now). At first the game works fine, but after a little while, the game will randomly freeze while I'm playing and shortly afterwards, my xbox automatically shuts down and hard resets itself. This crash also occurs only when I try to play online. Offline seems to work fine. Is this a known issue and if so what would be the recommended means of resolving it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
