Prednisone - Creativity "Off The Charts"

Hi All,

I signed up and subscribed to this reddit months ago. Like many, I have conditions that traditional medicine has slightly helped, but never to my satisfaction. Last fall, I had a terrible lung infection that almost required hospitalization. I was prescribed 50mg of Prednisone, which is the max dose according to my physician. Anyway, I ended up being on it for 3 weeks before I finally began to clear up and get relief. In that time, my creativity level was higher than ever and I haven't been able to match it, not even close. I had tons of energy and more importantly, drive to do things. I've missed that for many years, probably due to the fact I've been on Wellbutrin (150mg/day) and Adderall (30mg/day) for years now (anxiety/depressed) and have experienced some sort of down-regulation of receptors involved in the aforementioned, seemingly broken, gratification processes. I've tried many Nootropics, the meds I've been on have also caused me to lose quite a bit of both long and short term memory. So, I've had a lot going on and I've experimented with a lot of different Nootropics, hoping to regain that creativity and drive. I will go into the Nootropics I've tried in another post, because right now, I'm interested to know 1) if anyone has had similar experience and 2) if you've found something (Noot or other) that has helped you regain these effects. I'm certainly not condoning running out and getting Prednisone prescribed, long term, it's bad stuff, I'm just curious and have been wondering for a long time now if it's possible to mimic those "side effects".

Thanks in advance for any responses!
