100 years from now will anyone collect coins minted today?
I know there will be the oddballs and mint errors and the like but I'm talking about circulated coins. I'm trying to fill a coin book, only need a few more lincoln cents from about 100 years ago. I doubt anyone back then thought a mere cent would one day be worth $50 or more.
Today the mint makes 1000x more coins than they did back then. 2,00,000 back then is 14,000,000,000 now. Maybe in 100 years the mint will make coins in the trillions. That seems impossible but I'm sure billions seemed impossible 100 years ago too.
Will today's stuff ever be rare?
