Spring Day Hike?

Looking to go for a hike this weekend since the weather appears to be nice. Not looking for anything too serious, prefer intermediate difficulty and a 6 mile maximum loop.

I wanted to hike Camel's Hump, but according to VT State Parks most trails like the Monroe Trail on the east side are closed. I may start at the Long trail parking in Bolton and take it to the summit if I can't find another way up.

Does any one else have any recommendations of intermediate summit hikes on open trails with great views within 30-40min of Montpelier? Thanks a bunch.
