We are now getting our 4th Zombie mode in COD.
Anyone feel weird? I remember when people were first talking about how Treyarch "Struck gold" with the mode. It was just so original, and it didn't seem overdone. Nazi Zombies. The enemy rises from the grave. Kill as much as you can.
Then came Exo Zombies, which, depending on who you ask, made either a ripple or a wave. It was simply a zombie outbreak in the AW universe.
Then IW Zombies really becomes the polar opposite of Treyarchs Zombies with bright lights and witty dialouge with sharp differences in each map. Making them each feel like a different level rather than the same linear adventure.
And now, COD WWII Zombies. That just sounds weird. On a different topic, I loathe the fact that they actually named this one "World War II". It feels as If it has forgotten it's own origins. Regardless, this Zombies is apparently not co op? Or of it is, is it just literally Nazi Zombies again? It's starting to become confusing. (But at the same time can be exciting).
I beg the question: is Treyarchs genius concept being taken too far now? Should Call of Duty always be fitted with a Zombies mode? Why can it and does it do justice compared to the very original Nacht Der Untoten stage? I'm curious on what you all think about it.
Me personally? I wish they would have taken some action and tried something new, but I dont blame them for not wanting to make another Spec Ops or Extiction.
