Is the Raw Authority Problem Over?
It seems as if post-Mania there has been a beacon of hope for Raw and its problem with (The)Authority. Since WrestleMania Stephanie and Triple H have been written off TV and Mick Foley has been replaced with Kurt Angle. It's no secret that since the draft Smackdown has been the better reviewed show by a more passionate group of the audience and it appears, for now, Raw is adopting the Smackdown model that made it so popular for the last 8 months.
Part of that was the AJ Styles factor, but in large it was due to the lack of the focus on the people in charge, but rather keeping that focus on the superstars. The superstars are driving the show again on Raw, and the superstar shakeup has been a key catalyst in doing so. They brought in more talent to ensure they can keep things that that way; and while Kurt Angle is very much a star in his own right, he's currently being worked in the same way Shane and Daniel Bryan are on Smackdown. Now this won't last forever as Stephanie McMahon will probably be back on TV at some point before or during the summer, but for the time being we are getting to enjoy the show most have been seemingly asking for and the one that is truly best for business.
