Central / Midlands / grey / black ratsnake *Pantherophis spiloides*. Harmless.

OP confirmed he's letting it stay. Good work, r/snakes

Harmless ratsnake. This snake is free pest control and can help keep venomous snakes off your property. Please let him do his job!

Yep! Finger crossed. I have a phobia of rats and mice so this is nice. In my defence I only saw the body at first when I walked outside. Head around corner.

If you leave it alone it'll keep the rodent population down around your area

Deadly? North Georgia, Chattanooga area.
