Do I sell my Tungrade Earring?

Question

Hey guys,

so I came to the game after only playing in the first month or so of the release of the game. I recently got a Tungrade Earring but pretty much all of my gear totally sucks (armor +9/10/1, MH +15 etc.). Would it make sense to sell the earring and fund better overall gear with the money I get, or should I keep it? I consider myself pretty casual (prob. only 1-2h hours tops a day).

It's a decent earring on its own, but if the rest of your gear sucks, sell it and work on getting your gear enhanced first.

I'd wait till the surplus dries up and then sell it. It's no good at +0 and you aren't in a position to upgrade anytime soon. You'd be better off with enhanced red coral and or blue coral earrings.

May I ask what the price of the Tungrades was before the surplus?

They cap at 95m, but they usually stabilize around 70m.

I held some of that stuff when I came back (basically fresh) and to be honest, I wish I had not. You need to get weapons and armor enchanted up ASAP, yes that earring will be good, but that money can go to getting you a Pri-Duo main weapon with money left over or maybe even for a +15/pri awakening and that is going to make combat much easier, thus allowing you to make more money faster.

That is just how I felt about it after returning. The only item I got that I am glad I did not MP was my Ogre Ring, that thing is pretty bonkers good and rare.

Np I came back probably about 2 months ago. Work on weapons and armor and leave accessories for last. Get everything to +15, get to 56 and find a good grind spot you enjoy. After that work on getting money to fund everything else you want to do, and get EXP at the same time.

For what it's worth, Tungrades aren't best in slot till you PEN it (and even then it's arguable).

How long do you plan to hold onto it?

I think probably until they are above 65m

My point was - do you really plan to hold onto it until you have enough of them for PEN which is the only point it's better than a Witch' Earring (which is less money) or at best a side grade to a Whale Molar Earring?

Neverminding that, depending on your class, you might need Red Coral Earring(s).

It's +2 ap over Witch' Earrings at all levels, and it's simply cheaper to make a one higher level Witch' Earring than it is to try to do something with Tungrades.
