Not lesser known but if you're in GA, why not hear one from Atlanta on 11/30/1980 Dave's 8! My favorite one ever, simply amazing!
one of my faves!
I concur
Yeah, this one is my favorite of all time. It doesn't get as much love on Headyversion, but the transition is sublime - I straight up gasped the first time I listened, the way they pluck Fire out of that burning peak, with Jerry doing pinwheels on his fretboard and Brent chasing him on keys like a madman. Absolutely otherworldly.
Yes this is my top favorite, with my second being Barton Hall. The Fox Theatre show is just an incredible transition, how Jerry jumps into the Fire lick, blows my mind every time. Like dancing through a door backwards. Also check out Space>wheel>China doll from that show, starts out dark and creepy and in the intro to Wheel Jerry just soars. Shits beautiful

Sooo, I've listened to lots of Scarlet Fires, but this show, more particularly this Scarlet Fire just does it to me. First heard it from 30 Days of Dead 2012 - Live at Manor Downs on 1982-07-31. It truly is remarkable, the sound is outrageous, the transition is aggressive into Fire (you will see if you just start at fire, you know what is is). IDK, welcome to Summertime, its Scarlet Fire!
Well said! Amazing Dew too!
As far as jams in the Fire go, 8-30-80 really steps up to the plate. That was just my 2nd time seeing it live, so I'm biased. Jerry does rip up though. https://archive.org/details/gd1980-08-30.sbd.munder.tetzeli.fix-8875-15408.34939.reflac.flac16/gd80-08-30d2t01.flac
I really like 1977-05-04. Sure, it's still May of 77, but often overlooked by others later in the month. It's not best-ever status, but Scarlet is one of the hottest of the month, the transition is smooth as hell, and the Fire recovers from a slightly sluggish start and picks up steam as it goes along all the way into a satisfying final solo and jam. Definitely worth a listen if you're looking for a nice Scarlet>Fire.

05-08-7_9_. Two years after Ithaca. Strong, punchy jamming in Scarlet, some pretty transitioning, and a kick-ass turn-on-a-dime intro into Fire. Spectacular jam after the first verse. Must hear! Alas, no board is available, but the auds leave nothing to the imagination.
4-23-77 The transition is flawless. Everyone where they should be, doing what they should be doing.
5-8-78 Troy NY Turn-on-a-dime jam in Fire
4-13-84 Hampton The whole band jams well in the transition but the Jerry Brent interplay is jammy and I never tire of it. Was there. Underrated show / loved it.
3-22-87 Hampton Jerry's back! What a show; my favorite three night Hampton run. Total chaos getting on this first night.
haven't heard any of these! thank you!!
