Cam. Not even close. He's a year removed from one of the best seasons by a QB ever, run away MVP and Offensive Player of the Year, led his team to the Super Bowl. Cousins struggles every year to get the Redskins in the playoffs. I actually like Cousins a lot, but he's clearly a notch or two below Cam.

Eh Cam has the edge but it's not "not even close". Cam's far and away the better runner which opens up his game a lot more but Cousins has the edge as a pure passer, and Cam's defense has helped him a lot whereas Cousins is working with nothing on that side of the ball but still impressively matches or beats Cam in every efficiency stat.

Overall, Cam.

Depends on the opponent. Weak against the run? I'll take Cam every time. Terrible pass coverage? Cousins will kill em in the air

As much as i love Kirk (Sparty on), Cam for me. He's proven he can play at the highest level and I think last year will be an outlier, not the norm

He proved he can play at the highest level with an elite defense. What happened when the D regressed last year?

What happened when most of the o-line died and everyone had to play out of position?

Depends on my offense. Cam is mobile Flacco. You don't wanna run a WCO with him. He doesn't have the accuracy for it. Heavy run game to beat the defense up, lull them to sleep then PA deep.

Kirk fits what a WCO does.

What's a wco?

West coast offense

You know I've always wondered if Cam misses so many throws as they run the exact offense you mentioned. They're inherently low percentage plays, but with big rewards. I'd be curious to see how he did in a WCO. Maybe making him throw shorter would up his percentage.

More than likely you're right though, if his passing was going to improve it would have by now. At least he has check down city with McCaffery now.

He throws off his back foot and doesn't step into his throws enough.

Captain Kirk

Skins sub seems to think that Kirk is far better which confuses me

I'm a Skins fan, but I'm objective enough to know that Cam is better than Kirk. Just wanted to see what non-biased ppl thought

This is even a question? Cam is better than Cousins in every conceivable way.

You don't know that, Cam could have a secret crush.

2

all cam loves is dabbing and laptops

Julie loves Kirk but you know she wants some of Cam's protein yogurt.

Except for everything related to throwing the football.

Well, maybe except arm strength...Cam has a crazy cannon for an arm.

2
BigbohnPatriots•

No he isn't. Most passing statistics are in favor of Kirk.

6
capincusRaiders•

Except for completion %, y/a, a/g, y/g, and not getting concussions. But yeah if you forget the stats that Cousins is better in, and the stats they're tied in (TD% and Int%), then Cam is certainly better in the specific ways you've chosen to conceive.

krfire222Eagles•

Cousins is a better passer.

bat_man_slayerTitans•

For my bowling team? I can't objectively determine that since I've never seen either bowl.

CJ Anderson, first pick the the NFL bowling draft

Give me Jerome Bettis

1
key_lime_piePatriots•

Nah, Mike Tolbert. Look at that form! Plus, the fact that he's shaped like a bowling ball probably helps.

1
ozzman1234Ravens•

Right now? Cousins. Two years ago, Cam by a mile. I don't think we will see that Cam Newton of old ever again

1
unc54Panthers•

You say this after we got him two explosive weapons?

2
ozzman1234Ravens•

Yeah it will help but ultimately I think it will take a couple of more years till he feels that level of confidence/comfort he did that year. Plus the defense is alright now, not at the level at it was during their SB run. So a lot of pressure on the offense.

1
unc54Panthers•

The defense is actually better. No Josh Norman, but it is way more complete. Also our scheme is kind to DBs and our rookie CBs did good so I like it.

2
ozzman1234Ravens•

I always kind of thought Norman was kind of overrated. I mean he's good but not all that. I'm just going by the numbers I saw.

I think they were middle of the pack in ranking as a defense right? Could be cause of the young guys

Cam

jwishbonePatriots•

Cousins is the better passer, Cam is the better QB. I take Cam.

1
BigbohnPatriots•

In an offense with weapons I want Kirk, since he's the better passer, in an offense lacking weapons I want Cam, because he has more ability to create a play.

Its nice to see this, but it doesnt really belong here.

Cause he wasn't an option, right?

...yes

I'm sorry. I thought this was America a mindless self post
