How is the Politics Career in the recent Expansion?

It gets pretty boring actually. Lot of spray painting and shouting through a megaphone. I ended up just sending my politician to work like a normal job.

I like it because you can go out into the field and level up by holding protests and talking to sims rather than just disappear off the lot.

I love it! It's different than the active careers from GTW because it is more of a hybrid between active and traditional, but it's fun. It feels like you're working from home, but you have certain objectives to accomplish throughout your day. I like being able to do a few work-related tasks, invite a friend out for lunch, and then hit the grind again before the day is over.

Meh.

TIL there's a politician profession

I don't know if I would call it an "active career" in the same sense that the Get to Work careers are active. There's not a workplace you can go to with your Sim. You send them to work like a normal job but then there's at home tasks you have to complete to get promotions, such as holding campaign fundraisers or securing votes. There is an option to work from home and when select that you have to travel to different locations and perform different tasks. It honestly gets pretty boring and tedious after a few days in the career, so I don't choose politics for my Sim unless I'm going for a specific story line.

I really like it! It is just enough to add character to a sim without having to spend 40 hours a week grinding out required tasks.

I have a Sim that went down the charity track with "Save the Trees" as her org who also owns an organic plant and herbal medicine store (of course). It's a nice combo of active actions that really give her personality shape!
