Find out what's killing the people.
Personally, I don't kill the turrets AT ALL until I'm ready to go after the cannon. If you start going after the captain, and it comes back up, then you have 2 high damage things shooting at you.
Once you reach throwing phase, tell throwers to kill the turret BEFORE they pick up their orb to throw, even if they have to wait for the turret to revive.
