Buying MW2 on PC, to DLC or not to DLC?

Hey Everyone, with the huge discounts on all the Call of Duty games I was looking to pick up MW2. Is it necessary for me to have the DLC in order to find online matches? Or will it be fine without it? Thanks for the help.
