Missing Cat in Lower Greenville/M Streets area

I know it's a long shot, but my cat has been missing for over a week now. She's missing a foot, so she limps around unless she is running and was last seen wearing a pink collar near McMillan and Madera. I've posted her to Next Door and Facebook and this Paw Boost sites. I've only had one lead and it turned out to be another 3 legged cat.

Or anyone have leads on a company that could try to track her?

Texas Pet Detectives has tracking dogs that find lost pets http://www.lostpetspecialist.com/

We're trying her tomorrow!

Edit: We came up with nothing other than another dead cat, but she was amazing. We're still holding out hope!

Someone on r/cats has posted that leaving the litterbox outside could help a lost kitty find their way home. Something you could also try.

Good luck.

Unfortunately, she never used a litter box except in our RV. We're going to bring it home this weekend and see if it works. Thanks!

If my pet got loose, I know I'd try every avenue to try to find him, but I really don't like that paw boost site. It takes so much more effort for people to go through two links to find the info that I wonder how many people just don't even look. The number one way to get people to look for a lost pet is to get the picture in front of them. For me, if I have to click an extra time on something, I usually don't do it. For example, my kid's school posts stuff on their website but it has to open through a twitter account so I am one super clueless parent. Same thing when they send emails. ( personal rant: How hard is it to copy and paste the info since they're emailing everyone anyway?!) TLDR: post a direct picture for the lazy!

If it's been recent. Check around your house and your neighbors in a 2 house diameter. Cats don't go far at first... they hide.

Also check out "every door direct"

Yes/ That's a way of contacting a whole area rather inexpensively. You can go to gotprint.com for cheap fliers (they're local too).

A 3 legged cat is pretty striking so offering a reward with all that might get all the neighborhood kids looking. GIve instructions of how to act on the mailer and set up a google voice number on your phone. Basically let them know whether they can approach the cat or if you want people to just call you ect.

Leave a piece of your clothing or a used pillowcase outside. Read this a long time ago when a cat of mine got lost years ago; he'd been gone for 3 weeks but when I put my shirt out on the patio he was back the next day. Good luck!

I put her blanket outside. It was our there for a few days until someone came and stole it right off her chair :(

I hope your kitty makes it home okay. Make sure not to let her out and roam around next time.

She was a stray when we found her, so keeping her in wasn't really an option.
