Hard drive not showing up in Devices and drives

I have a SSD hard drive and on top of that I have a 1tb hard drive. I bought a prebuilt ibuypower and in my device manager it says my 1tb drive is there but when I go into the device and drives section it only reads my SSD. Anyone know how to fix this?

is it formatted correctly? go to "create and format hard disk partitions" in Windows and make sure it is formatted to NTFS.

I suggest opening Disk Management, here's how for different Windows versions http://support.wdc.com/knowledgebase/answer.aspx?ID=1284

See if you can find it there

Ok, in the Disk management screen does it show up with a blue bar above it (like you can see on the screenshots on the website)?

Yeah it's just one long blue bar

So I assume it looks something like this: http://imgur.com/3Zs5UV5 Apart from the name (New Volume) and the Drive letter (F:), what is different (Also the part on the left)?
