ELI5: Why does everyone in this sub hate/ban Yasuo so much?

I'm of the sincere conviction that he's not that as busted as he's made out to be. Is it just a meme? I see bans wasted (in my opinion, at least) regularly on him and it confuses the shit out of me. Unless his team has a lot of knock ups for him, you can posture yourself to avoid Last Breath really well and even bully him after baiting out the wall (in mid at least, top I run exhaust against him and dont really play ranged.)

I know I'm low ELO (hardstuck NA Gold Garbage) so I dont know if that is where the difference in subjective experiences comes from, but I see it in every thread and it confuses me. Educate me, friends.
