Malthael skin flavor text says that he makes a pact with the Grave Keeper, one of the realm lords in the Nexus,
and I'm actually quite sad that the Blood Raven is going to be treated like a skin, I was looking forward for the trio of adventurers of the original Diablo to make it...

according to the most accurate leaker, Baal is in the works. I think he's the most 'evil' of all three due to how cynical and sarcastic he is.

Well the person did leak Mathael back in Oct 2016 and Baal mentioned in April 2016 so hopefully Baal's development is further along now. No mention of Mephisto in the leaks though :*(

Honestly every single character that Blizzard made will make it into HOTS. Including the iconic SCV from starcraft at some point. The three prime evils? Of course they will make it into HOTS. Every overwatch character will be in there too.

The Amazon was a skin for Nova before being added as an actual hero so...

That can't really hold true for every reference skin. Nova also has a Widowmaker skin, but chances are we will never see Widow in HotS.

You might think she will play like Nova, but Widow's mine and grapple are different enough that we could see her. And Widow's ult would be fantastic in HotS.

Brightwing and Murky have been completely made up from no-name Warcraft 3 units.

Murky, Brightwing, Hammer, and Morales were created to be a face for an interesting hero kit.
Blood Raven is an existing character who wields a bow... and not much else going on.
Wielding a bow isn't interesting on its own.

Lets not forget Hammer and Morales existed in starcraft novels before that.
Brightwing existed in the lore before that too.
Murky....well murlocs got a huge fandom after WoW so its not surprising. Especially after the whole Murloc music video featuring yours truly, murky.

Looks nothing like Blood Raven. They just slapped on a bone bow and a skullmet (which is the only fitting piece) on Sylvanas with some spiked shoulders, quite underwhelming; doesn't even have the Rogue attire.

The bow was probably changed to be fancier than a regular bow, no comment on the chest and leg armor though.

Fair point, I guess it's also possible they didn't want to pull another similarity with Novazon and Cassia or Blizzard's nervous about displeasing the feminist SJWs with the rather revealing attire Blood Raven/the Rogue used in D1-2.

That and it looks like an epic skin, not a legendary one. On epic skins they usually don't go far away from the base model. It has a few Sylvanas' stuff, including the fugly bow.
I don't know, but I really don't mind they wowing diablo stuff - probably because it isn't a Diablo game, which makes me consider it as fair game.
That Malthael with feet, making the shoulder thing and the boxes steps looked weird, tho.

nova has an amazon skin and azmodan has a gul'dan skin and both of those characters made it into the nexus

For those saying that the blood raven skin means she cannot be in the game as a hero now, youre looking at it wrong. They don't have to add her as Blood Raven when they can add her as Moreina, and in her diablo 1 uncorrupted/still human rogue form.
We can still have the trio of Aiden, Moreina, and Jazreth.
